cyanoblast
n. [Gr. kyaneos, dark-blue; blastos, bud]
The immature stage of a cyanocyte (hemocyte) that contains polyribosomes, cisternae often filled with dense granular material, small Golgi apparatus and mitochondria; reported to be typical of an active protein-synthesizing and storing cell.
